WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
giVE HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TOWARDS THE HOUSE
The Salvation House is always in need of something. You can donate food and cold drink, linin, household cleaning products, men’s hygiene products, curtains, beds, furniture. shopping vouchers and even appliances.
We are also open maintenance items like indoor and outdoor paint, tools for the men and the Salvation Shop, outdoor leisure items like fishing rods, tackle, tents, as the men like to go camping and fishing when they get the chance.
Get involved with our outreach projects
The Street Salvation Team goes out into the streets and local slums in the Vaal Triangle on certain dates. They are also involved with other organizations and churches who do outreaches and crusades. If this is something you would like to get involved with, let us know. We have certain rules that applies when going out on outreaches. On the street outreaches we mainly pray for the street community, and we ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. We also give out blankets, beanies and ponchos in the winter. We do not run a feeding scheme but on occasion, especially in the winter months, we will hand out soup and bread or integrate with another ministry to help feed the needy.

Street Salvation needs passionate people in the community who will retell our story. You do not need to be an influencer or have a multitude of spiritual gifts or followers, to make an impact in this world. Trust God to lead you today!
Get involved by Praying earnestly
Prayer is utmost important for our ministry to survive and do the will of God. We need people who intercede on our behalf especially before we do outreaches in the community. We also sometimes do prayer walks in the neighborhood and at the hospitals in our areas, and we are always looking for someone to join us. Prayer is a large part of our ministry.
Get involved by Serving
If you have a certain talent or personal ministry and you would like to spend time with our team, please feel free to chat to us. Getting involved by spending time to help the ministry and projects will definitely bless us. Because we are actively involved with the community and with other organizations, we have a lot of “inside information and connections” – this enables us to redirect any help we might not need or have use of. The men in the house need spritual strong guy friends or mentors. They are sometimes lonely as they might not see or speak to family members. They need conversation, even if it is just a random chat or a cold coke or strong coffee on the Salvation House’s stoep.
